So last week was like the dollar price, it was up and down. Lol...lame joke.

So Monday to Sunday was well...full of life...as expected.

Monday was cool. I woke up quite late because I stayed up really late completing my Production assignment and studying Business Law as well and i had an interesting Whatsapp chat with one of my classmates Shanty till we both fell asleep.
My first class was just weird. It was a Behavioral Science class and the lecturer was just  so funny. The class was to start by 9am but it didn't start until past 10am, our lecturer blamed it on the long queues at fuel stations. The class was really awkward, she kept telling us tales of how she got married really early, had kids on time and finished her education regardless of her early marriage which was really inspiring. She didn't say so much about the topic for the day though and then she gave us a very tasking assignment which would serve as part of our Continuous Assessment.

Later on, a make up class on Finance held and it was very productive. So we finished this class quite early and Bimpe and I decided to see our Course Adviser, unfortunately, he wasn't on seat. Then, I went for my training at WAVE academy. I got there at 15:06, I had already giving an earlier excuse that we'd have a make up class for 13:00-15:00 today which was the right thing to do. I met a practical interview class at the training and it was absolutely informative.

I went back to the hostel after my training and I was really hungry so I had Kellogs Corn Flakes for dinner.

Tuesday was super exciting.
Convocation started properly today and I just knew that I wouldn't attend. Besides, the UNILAG Edutainment Fiesta held today and the ushers for the event were asked to resume by 12 noon which was rather too early but a girl's gotta do what she has to do. And yea, it rained this morning for the first time in Forever. I really couldn't tell it was raining but for the change in the weather. There's a tank that keeps overflowing whenever there's light and my roomies and I can hardly tell the difference between when it's raining and when it's not raining.
So, I got to the Sports Center by 12:24....I had to be 100% ready for the show...he he! I stayed back to straighten my hair, I'd have done so earlier but for the power issue. I met Mr Bunmi Davies at the Indoor Sports Hall and we chatted for a little while and of course we took pictures together.
The really interesting part of my day was when 3 girls that were to usher as well came over an hour late and started throwing some hilarious tantrums when one of the coordinators said she'd deduct N1,000 from their pay. I had so much fun watching one of the girls brag about herself and how much she's not in 100 level... Yada, yada,yada.....she even backed out and walked out with her friends. It was so weird to see other girls walk out with her too.I was so happy that she walked out but she came back eventually which was rather annoying. Truth be told, if I had bragged so much about the pay and had the guts to walk out, I'd just swallow my pride and leave....for real.
The event itself started few minutes before 5pm and it was great. We weren't allowed to hold our phones but then I had fun at the event. I met Teju Babyface and we had a conversation about a bucket list. I was inspired by his biker's outfit and I told him I'd love to ride a bike someday.
The show ended around few minutes to 10pm and then we all waited to be paid. I got to my hostel and slept off almost immediately after dinner. Thanks to my roommate - Toke, I had a good convocation dinner.

Wednesday was the second most amazing day of the week. I toured round Lagos and I had a dramatic day. I left the hostel really early for my training at WAVE academy and I got there really early. I made it before 8am. Yaaay. I stayed in the class with other trainees and I had a great time at the class. I had a debrief with my trainer after the class and I left for LUTH immediately after the training. I'm so happy that I finally picked up my result and then I visited "doctor-friend" as well. I'm so glad to know that I'm fine.Yaaayyy. Then, I had lunch at Mavis and my naval officer friend- Ayo came to pick me up. Ghen ghen! Our tour round Lagos started. So, We went to Ogba, Ikeja for my AMVCA dress fitting and locating the tailor's shop wasn't easy. We drove all the way from Idi Araba through Ojota to Ogba and we kept asking passersby for directions. We finally got to 7up junction and we stopped by to ask another man for directions....this man offered to follow to Ogba for proper directions and soon after he entered the car he just blurted out "Oga, I dey find work oo" and he went on telling us different tales of his life. It was a really interesting ride with him as we heard so many amazing stories but then I was very silent, I just listened to the man with so much amazement. So.....we got to the tailor's place, I had my dress sorted out after waiting for almost an hour and I met other girls ushering as well. I wore my dress....finally but it was too tight and it needed some adjustments. I really loved the dress though- it was a knee length red gown with so much glitters. We left the tailor's shop and then headed out to the Island and our dear new friend rode with us for a couple of minutes before we dropped him off.
So...we started another journey down to the Island and then we asked for directions again from some guys at Oworoshoki bus stop I guess and then they rode with us too. It was a really weird ride and we drove 2 complete strangers at the same time down to the island, I was really happy as the guys didn't tell us the tales of their lives. Then, after dropping those guys off,Ayo and I went to Domino's to get pizza. I had about two pieces and I brought the rest back to the hostel where me friends finished it immediately. We left for his sister's apartment after we left Domino's and we also got a few stuff on the road. We left his Sister's place for the Naval Base on the Island too to see his boss.....and finally we went to Shaunz bar for Karaoke. You would have thought I sang, yea? But I didn't sing. I didn't even plan for karaoke and Shaunz bar's karaoke is very different from Silver Cafe's and Bheerhugz'. At Shaunz, people stay on a stage to sing with mic and then the spotlight is on you. I have a very horrible singing voice. I'd rather sing horribly in the dark than sing horribly with the spotlight on me. Well, we left for school immediately Ayo finished with his Karaoke - he sang two songs and he really has a great voice. Kai! I couldn't embarrass myself. I got back to the hostel and spoke with my first Bunkie ever. Her name's Ayo and she's one of the coolest babe I've ever met. She's adorable. I love you Ayo. #puppy eyes. And I slept off....finally!!!!

Thursday was just not it.
I left my hostel for the medical center, saw the doctor and finally he gave me paracetamol, some antibiotics and a cough syrup. Mehn!!! I got drowsy after I took the drugs and I slept all through the day. I  slept off while mentoring too. My bad!!! Oh dear me. I just kept sleeping on and on and on.....

Friday was great too.
I had just a class and I slept off in class. I couldn't attend the GST 307 class because I had to sleep. But then it's GST. Duh!!!
I couldn't attend my AIESEC LC meeting because I had to adequately prepare for the AMVCA tomorrow. So I slied my Local Committee President - Rachael Bassey and my  Local Committee President Elect - Ugo Modum. They were my dates for the LC meeting. So, I made a new hair and I shapened my brows....for real.

Saturday was awesome.
I was super excited to work at the AMVCAs and I met really amazing people. I was opportuned to see so many celebrities and I spoke to a few like Falz, Olumide Oworu, Wole Ojo, e.t.c. So, I'd write a proper story in my next post.

Sunday was cool. I got back in the morning and I attended fourth service. I had an awesome time at church though I was really sleepy but all well and good, I just had to be in Church. I had bread and Sardine for breakfast and I made toast bread for lunch. I slept off for a couple of hours. Then, I had a meeting with Joshua Okoduwa and we talked about the Joshua Okoduwa Initiative and his upcoming project- The March to Makoko. The conversation was rather productive.
Then I washed my hair with Dudu Osun black soap as a naturalista and I loved the aftermath of my hair. He he. Then a friend- Temi helped in matting my hair so I can rock my fro on Monday.

Stayed tuned for Saturday's AMVCAs updates.

Much Love,

Becca.
